You’d Never Guess It Was an Ice Skating Rink…

Welcome to Ecotech’s newest campus in Austin, Texas. Equipped with the latest in green technology his former ice skating rink  is virtually unrecognizable. It was a privilege to give this old building a new look and a new life.

The White Glove Treatment

As our work closes out, crews are making final adjustments and cleaning the site to ready for move-in. As always, we’re pushing for a perfect site with no traces of construction.

Vertical Access Wind Turbine in Place

This week’s progress included work on solar panels and installation of the vertical access wind turbine, a landmark feature. With blades measuring twelve feet, this generates aerodynamic force without having to be pointed at the wind. Gabion wall construction also moved ahead, and site landscaping began.

Hallowed Halls

We’re entering the exciting part of the job where hard work gives way to a finished project. NPT flooring and Interface carpet are being laid. Low VOC paint is being spread. Fixtures, like water fountains and sinks are being installed. Thing are coming together.

Approaching Completion

As the project near completion, focus shifts to final details. Tuff Sheds arrived on campus this week, and large solar panels are being installed on the grounds. We’re making way for landscaping, painting exteriors and rolling the lot prior to paving.

Inside Focus: Wiring and Insulation

Electrical crews were onsite this week, wiring the building. The fire sprinkler riser moved ahead, along with piping for the system. Insulation was installed and the completed building exterior got a good pressure wash.
